A fiction

There is no company called Sunder and no headphone called SND-01. The brand, the product, the serial numbers and the launch are invented, and exist to give the design something to be about.

Nothing here is for sale. Pre-order and join waitlist do nothing, take no payment and add you to no list, and no product will be made or delivered.

The specifications and prices

Every figure on this site is written to look right, not measured. The frequency range, the driver size, the noise cancelling in decibels, the battery hours, the sensitivity and the prices are invented for a product that does not exist, and none of them is a measurement of anything.

The acoustics and soundstage sections illustrate ideas about how headphones work. They are drawings, not test results, and not engineering advice.

The headphone you are looking at

The 3D headphone on this site is someone else's work, used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence, and modified for this site: rescaled, re-lit, remade in the site's own materials and re-finished in its colours.

The model was made after a real Sony product. Sony is not involved with this site, has not endorsed it and has no connection to it, and the invented brand and specifications on these pages are not Sony's and say nothing about Sony's products. All trade marks belong to their owners.

The design, writing, animation and code are the work of the person who built the showcase, except for the material credited here. You are welcome to view the source and learn from it. Please do not republish it as your own.

• GSAP with ScrollTrigger and SplitText, used under the licence GSAP is distributed with.
• The typefaces Space Grotesk and IBM Plex Mono, served by Google Fonts under their open-source font licences.

Using the site

Look at it, share it, take it apart. Please do not present it as a real product or a real company, and please do not try to break, overload or misuse the site or the service hosting it.

No guarantees

The site is provided as it is. It needs a reasonably modern browser with hardware 3D graphics, it may change or go offline at any time, and the person who made it is not responsible for any loss arising from using it or relying on anything written on it.

These terms may be updated as the showcase changes. The date at the top says when they last were.
